The Hipposync Archives is a comic British urban-fantasy series about the unstable machinery beneath ordinary life. Gods, monsters and supernatural bureaucracies exist alongside offices, local authorities and people who would rather finish their tea before confronting the apocalypse.
 

Beginning with Fiends in High Places, the series combines fantasy adventure, mythology, social satire, wordplay and absurd British humour. It is written for readers who enjoy imaginative world-building, reluctant heroes, institutional incompetence and the suspicion that reality is being managed by a department nobody remembers creating.
 

Each novel has its own central adventure, but the characters and wider supernatural story develop across the series, so the books are best read in order.
