The Black Squid Trilogy follows DI Anna Gwynne, a Bristol detective drawn into complex investigations involving buried crimes, institutional secrecy and offenders whose influence reaches far beyond the original case.

Set across Bristol, the Severn Estuary, the Mendips and the West Country, the trilogy is darker and more psychologically intense than the DCI Evan Warlow series. It combines police procedure, cold-case investigation, forensic detail and a determined but deeply private central character.
