Author of the Hipposync Archives — a series of novels exploring what happens when the mythological infrastructure underpinning British civilisation begins to malfunction. Readers familiar with British civilisation will appreciate that this is not always easy to detect.
About the Author
D.C. Farmer was born in the Swansea Valley under circumstances that remain, to this day, entirely unremarkable. He spent a career in medicine, during which he developed an impressive ability to keep a straight face — a skill that has proved equally useful in writing urban fantasy.
The books have been described as original, genre-defying, and difficult to explain at dinner parties — all of which D.C. Farmer takes as high praise. He is aware that urban fantasy occupies an awkward shelf in most bookshops, and has made his peace with it.
He shares a postcode, a writing desk, and a frankly implausible number of biographical details with crime writer Rhys Dylan. Both authors have been asked about this. Neither has given a satisfactory answer.
He lives in Wales, where the weather provides daily motivation to stay indoors and make things up.
